Secure Care for Kent (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a ballot question committee supporting the Kent County Corrections & Detention Millage. This policy explains what information we collect through securecareforkent.com and our text messaging program, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, mobile phone number, and ZIP code when you sign up for updates, along with your text messaging consent choice.
Information collected automatically: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, used to keep the site running and understand how it is used.

How we use your information

To send campaign updates, voting reminders, and volunteer information you asked to receive.
To send text messages to people who have opted in to our SMS program.
To respond to your questions and requests.
To operate, secure, and improve this website.
To comply with Michigan campaign finance law and other legal obligations.

Text messaging and mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

The exclusion above applies to all categories of information described in this policy. We use service providers, such as our text messaging platform, only to deliver messages on our behalf; they may not use your mobile information for any other purpose.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. See our SMS Terms for details.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only:

Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop receiving emails.
Email securecareforkent@gmail.com to ask us to access, correct, or delete your information.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
